Is sewage rising in the toilet, the shower or a gully, or are several drains dead at once? Then the blockage almost certainly sits in the sewer itself. Affiliated drain companies are often on site within 1 to 2 hours for emergencies and jet the pipe clear under high pressure.
Expect € 125 to € 350 per blockage, depending on the location, the cause and the time of day. Outside office hours a 150-200% surcharge on the hourly rate (€ 100-175) applies. While you wait, do NOT use chemical drain cleaner: it rarely clears a sewer blockage and makes the high-pressure work dangerous for the technician.
If the blockage keeps returning, a camera inspection (€ 85-175) reveals the cause — from root ingrowth to a subsided pipe. If the cause lies beyond the property boundary, the municipal sewer takes over and you don't pay for the repair there yourself.
